  • It's been a while since I write something decent here so here goes nothing.

    * Jakarta Trip *

    From March 9th - March 25th I was in Jakarta because my Tourist Visa had expired and I also had to be outside of the country in order for my Spousal Visa to be granted (which it did..Yiiipppeee to that).

    The first two days in Jakarta was hard for me, I had trouble adjusting to everything but I finally got my bearings around and had a great time there. I spent time with my family and friends and just had the time of my life. It was good to just let loose and be stress free.

    When I had to go back to Perth I was a bit sad because I had to leave my friends and family behind and I don't know when I get to see them again but thank God for the internet right? LOL

    * Home Sweet Home*

    It was really so great to be home with my husband again. Jason gave me a really awesome welcome home present:

    Meet the newest member of our family. Her name is Maddie and she is a West Highland White Terrier (commonly known as a "Westie"). She is still a little puppy..almost 4 months old and is just our pride and joy. I never thought that Jason would buy her for me because he kept on telling me that it wasn't the right time for us to have a dog but I am glad he did.

    * Easter Long Weekend*

    For Easter weekend, the three of us (Jason, Maddie and myself) went camping with my in laws (parents, cousin and aunty in law) and parent in law's friends. We camped for 5 days and 4 night (from Apr 1st until Apr 5th). There wasn't any cellphone network there and it was so nice to just wind down and relax without having to worry about the hassle of technology.

    Recap on our camping trip: Jason did a bit of fishing where he caught some herrings. Maddie had a great time running around & playing with Jim (Jason's dog, the in laws r taking care of him now), we've never seen her so happy before. The food were amazing as always, we didn't stop eating. However the weather was a bit crappy but it didn't stop us from having fun and enjoying our time.

    * Job Hunting *

    Since I've been back I have been doing a bit of applying for jobs. So far I have applied to 21 different positions to several companies here in Perth - Western Australia. I've got 2 call backs and 1 rejection. One of the call backs was from a company that was really on my "top list" and hopefully I will hear from them soon in a day or two *fingers crossed*

  • It was 3 months ago that I was married to my love & what a wonderful journey it has been. I couldn't ask for a better person to grow old with.

  • Here I am in Jakarta - Indonesia and already it's a bittersweet trip for me. I can list several "bitter" moments and only can list 2 "sweet" moments. Don't get me wrong, I love being back home but at the same time I would rather be back in Perth with my husband...hence bittersweet..*sigh*

    Last night I stopped over in Bali to see 3 of my besties. I stayed there for a short 12 hours but it was really worth it. I found out that Roomy is 5 weeks pregnant . I am so happy for her, can't wait to meet my little nephew / niece. She said that she wants to match make her kid with my kid..my response to that was "we shall see" LOL

    As soon as I arrived in Jakarta (this morning) I went straight to the Sony Center place to fix my laptop, they said that it will be done in 12 days *fingers crossed*. Then I went to my brother's house and spent some time with my family, goofed around with the kids (they are all getting bigger and bigger by the minute) and did a bit of a "girl talk" with my sister in law.

    I am just so buggered (Aussie slang for feeling extremely tired) right now. Missing Jason like crazy but like Jason said, I should just focus on my time here, it's only two weeks and I need spend the most of it because I will never know when I will be back again.

    Happy birthday to my beautiful sister in law Lansie.

    Two weeks ago, Perth has suffered its worst heatwave. The temperature would go up to max 42 degrees Celsius with a min of 32 degrees Celsius. Fortunately the heatwave only lasted for a week and ever since then the weather has been cooling down and slowly it is starting to feel like the Fall / Autumn season.

    Saturday (Feb 27th) Aunty Pam and Cameron (my aunt and cousin in law) invited me over for dinner. Lansie and Barb (Aunty Pam's gf) were also there. Dinner was great, we had a great time talking and laughing. We all ended up staying the night at Aunty Pam's.

    On Monday (March 1st) Jason came back from his business trip only to be back again to the mine site the next day. While Jason was home, we went to this music festival called SoundWave festival with Lansie, Kaffir, Deano & his gf Blue (yuck) and Matty Col. SoundWave is an annual music festival held in major cities around Australia. The festival originated in Perth - WA and began traveling to the other Australian capital cities in 2007. It features a number of international and Australian music acts, from various genres including rock, metal and punk acts. This was my very first SoundWave festival and I had so much fun. Out of all the acts I really did enjoy Clutch, Jane's Addiction and Faith No More. The only downside of the festival was that it was such a hot day (the temperature was 39 degrees Celsius) and it's a good thing that I drank lots and lots of water because there was a lot of people passing out due to the heat. However the next day both me and Jason were feeling as if we had a huge drinking festival (we did drink but nothing too overboard), I guess it's a combination of the heat and the festival itself that made us feel as if we were hungover.

    Last Saturday (March 6th) Lansie threw a b'day bash and invited me and her friends. The theme of the party of "Spanish Night". I made Lansie a b'day cake (Spanish style dessert called: Bizcochos Borrachos (Drunken Sponge Cake)) and it was a huge success, everybody loved it. In fact one of Lansie's friends (Loz) asked me to make a chocolate cake for her b'day. I am so proud of myself, I didn't get overboard with the drinking. I drank Red Wine with Sprite and ice (my new fav drink) steadily and moderately. It was funny to see the other girls being all tipsy and drunk, they were quiet entertaining.

    Jason came home from his business trip yesterday but unfortunately I will be going to Indonesia (stay in Bali for 1 night and Jakarta for 15 days) today. I don't want to leave Jason as I just got him back but I have to. My tourist visa will expire tomorrow and I have to get out of the country before then. I applied for my Spousal Visa in Dec 2009 and it is still in line to be granted and since my current Tourist Visa is about to expire I will have to apply for a new one so that I can be with my husband while I wait for my Spousal Visa to be approved.
